Best Nordic Track Treadmill for Under $1,000

If you are here, it means you are aware of the Nordic Track brand and probably also want to lose weight… but without slimming down your wallet if possible! If you are looking for the best cheap Nordic Track Treadmill for under $1,000, here is a handy list that should help you.

Now that Icon Health & Fitness has bought out the brand and has teamed up with celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels, NordicTrack sells more treadmills than anyone else in the US, and why not; their treadmills pack in a lot of features for the price you pay. They range from around $600 to $4,000, depending on the bells and whistles you opt for but, hey, when it comes to losing weight, your treadmill will be your best weapon so, in the end, it will all be worth it!

That being said, the lower priced models come with small motors, not as excellent stability and “road feel” as the higher priced models and some restrictions on weight limits. However, on the plus side, NordicTrack now offers a three year warranty on the motor and two years on the parts as compared to the old 90 day warranty, so all the newer post-2008 models are much better.

Model Reviews

The NordicTrack Range consists of the Commercial Line which has models like the 1500, 1750, 2150, 2450 etc. with lots of options. The Pro Line consists of the 9500, 9700, A2550, A2750 and the 900 models. Apart from these, they have the T, C and X series treadmills as well.

Let us move on to our review of the four cheapest models that you can look to buy.

1. NordicTrack C 900 Treadmill

The recently released NordicTrack C900 Treadmill, available for $899, combines a powerful 3.0 CHP DurX™ Commercial Plus motor (which can handle more weight, and incline upto 15 degrees) with a 60-inch tread belt, and four sets of cushioning dampeners over QuadFlex™ cushioning to combine power, reliability, comfort and convenience for a low price. It has 1-Touch™ controls for speed and incline to shift between workouts. Strap on a heart monitor tracked by the machine’s console to stay in your target heart-rate zone. It can also be easily stored with its SpaceSaver® folding deck.

As can be seen, for the features and options offered, the price is a no-brainer, which propels it to the top of our list. Get this one and make sure that your New Year Resolution stays on track.

2. NordicTrack C900 Pro Treadmill

Why is the C900 Pro second on this list? It is because the C900 Pro is essentially the same machine as the C900, but with a few more features and a higher price tag. It has the same motor, cushioning dampers, QuadFlex™ cushioning etc. However, the C 900 Pro features a better looking console, 32 workout apps built-in and is iFit® Technology compatible.

If you want those work-out apps or appreciate a more accurate-heart rate monitor, go for the C900 Pro. It is a very good treadmill. What is more the C900 Pro is often available on sale at a price lesser than that of the C900! If so, you should definitely snap it up. But otherwise the C900 gets the job done.

3. NordicTrack C 700 Treadmill

The C 700 is a decent machine which aims to combine features with low pricing. The C 700 has the iFit Display, 1-Touch™ speed and incline controls (up to 12 degrees), a 2.75 CHP DurX™ Commercial Motor, and DualFlex™ cushioning. Furthermore it comes with SpaceSaver® design, so that it can be folded for storage. While this treadmill will work for the average user, skip it if you are very tall or heavy.

4. NordicTrack T5.7 Treadmill

The cheapest model in the NordicTrack range, this one is designed for the average user with its smaller tread. It has 6″ iFit Display, 1-Touch™ speed and incline controls (upto 10 degrees), and a 2.50 CHP DurX™ Commercial Motor. It also DualShox® Cushioning with two isolators positioned below the deck. Another nifty feature is the 20 built-in training apps as well as the SpaceSaver® design, which makes it easy to store in a closet when not in use; all in all, the perfect entry-level treadmill for the casual runner.
